Eeva-Kaarina Volanen
Eeva-Kaarina Volanen (January 15, 1921 Kuusankoski – January 27, 1999 Helsinki) was a Finnish actress. She worked at the Finnish National Theatre for 45 years (1945–1990). Her artistic record was extensive: she played the comedic Ingenue roles and successfully interpreted tragic roles such as Antigone. Volanen continued to act in retirement, in addition to which she performed as a speaker in her own poems. Volanen also starred in films and television as well as in radio plays. Volanen won
Her husband was professor Sakari Puurunen (July 25, 1921, Iisalmi – August 5, 2000, Helsinki). They had no children.
