Roger E. Young (born 13 May 1942) is an American TV and film director. He won an Emmy Award in 1980 in Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series for Lou Grant (episode: Cop). He was born in Champaign, Illinois. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois. He worked as a producer-director at Channel 6, the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, IN. Then moved to Chicago and became a producer for Foote-Cone &
