Nikitas Platis
Nikitas Platis (Amorgos 1912 - November 14, 1984) was a Greek actor.
He was born in Chora of Amorgos in 1912. He was the son of teacher Markos Platis. He went to Athens in 1928 and from 1932 he became a stage actor. He was the president of the Union of Greek Actors. He made his first appearance with the musical work Ririka by the troupe R. Ruggeris. From 1940 he appeared many times as a troupe leader and starred in operettas, comedies and revues. Alongside his film career, he also worked in the theater as a writer.
In 1972 he also appeared on television in the series "Bolshoi Ivan and Big John" and then in the series "Border Station", where he made a memorable appearance as the anti-communal leader who was constantly at odds with his communal boss.
He also dabbled in poetry. Some of his poems are dedicated to Amorgos.
